I’m so honored to have the opportunity to tell you more about my passion and drive I have to make K9 Comfort Paws a success.

As a parent without biological children, my Saint Bernards have always been a significant part of my life. Everyone who knows me understands that I consider them to be my fur children. During my childhood and high school years, I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, cows, and horses. As I got older, I became involved in rodeo competitions. After that, I started training with Government K9s. I became a trainer with the California Highway Patrol and they encouraged me to adopt a German Shepherd who trained as a Cadaver Search K9. I became his handler and together, we were called for assignments with the U.S. Government for various search operations. Over the past 25 years, I have been training Service and Working K9s.

In July 2022, I added a flight program to my K9 training. This program allows trained Service K9s and their handlers fly on commercial airlines. It was a big success for K9 Comfort Paws. In the first year, we trained and traveled with over 210 K9s and 80 handlers worldwide.

We are now in our fourth year and have trained and traveled with over 500 K9s and their handlers across the United States. We have successfully completed 1000 flights covering over 1,000,000 miles without leaving any dogs behind or any handlers failing in their training. Additionally, our legacy Assistant Manager and head Groomer, Cassi has opened a spa facility in Carthage, Tennessee, Rockstar Grooming by Cassi.

K9 Comfort Paws now offers training for behavior, PTSD service, psychiatric support, medical alert, and balance assistance in the task train Service K9 program.
